The most delightful colleague and friend one could have. Perhaps it is not often that one can say a colleague, whom one respects, becomes a friend whose company one genuinely likes and enjoys but for me John did just that. An ability to inspire and to lead combined with an ability to manage and delegate, and one always knew that you would receive a sympathetic ear for any problem brought to his attention. Fun to work with and fun to enjoy social times with. A truly remarkable man, sadly missed by family and friends.
